LONDON - 14 June
Quickie: Now in Selfridges Dept store, having tea. Today we went to:
- Book in hotel, went there by Tube from Heathrow
- Kensington Gardens, cutting through Hyde Park
- Oxford St, UK version of Orchard Road
Now damn tired, having walked from Baywater to Oxford, hence all sitting here having tea. More details later.
Initial impressions:
Selfridges - Sorta like Marks N Spencers meets NTUC. A great variety of upmarket goods at ( in UK I guess ) middle class prices. Everyone here is white, yuppie, or tai-tai looking. Is everyone like that here, or is it just me?
Shocker: Rambutans here are sold 5 for 6pounds ( S$18!! )
